“You lack nothing.”
If someone would tell you this, what would this statement change?
Could this encourage you to start something you have had in mind for a really long time? Would you enjoy your life more? Would you get up and start doing something? Would it stop your phase of waiting on what God has in store for you?
Well, I’m telling you right now “You lack nothing”. Whatever you are waiting on right now, it will come in it’s time. (And if not, it maybe wasn’t necessary for you.) Whatever you think you need more to achieve something, you have everything you need for the time as this.
The View
In my opinion it’s a decision to lack nothing. And it’s a decision to focus on what you have rather than what you don’t have. I want to ask you what is it you have right now. What is it that was given to you? And what can you achieve with this?
At the moment I would love to buy different things, travel the world, etc.. So I definitely lack money otherwise I could do all these things. But what if I change my attitude to see what I’ve already got. I’m not trying to sound selfish, but it may be more than others have.
When I started with photography I could only afford a camera body. No lens. But how can you take pictures without a lens? It’s not possible. So I invested the money I had for a cheap lens. Not the lens I really want but one that would allow me to start taking pictures and make money, so that one day I can afford a better one. Or maybe two. If I wouldn’t have bought the first lens, taken a step and made of what I already had, I would still be waiting. I will only be able to afford a better lens when I have earned the money by using my cheap lens.
It doesn’t always have to do with money. It has to do with setting priorities.
The Priority
When you think you lack time with God because you are too busy, let me tell you this: (I am learning this as well.) You never lack time. You just don’t plan it around your priorities. Or the wrong priorities.
Sometimes we think that God gives us everything right from the beginning. I think that we wouldn’t be able to handle it. We wouldn’t have grown into it and wouldn’t appreciate it as much as we should. The reason why God is giving it to you time after time is for your advantage.
Do you remember the story of David and Goliath? Everyone thought that David must have been crazy to fight against Goliath. He obviously had a lack of size, equipment and strength. But he knew who was on his side and used what was in his hand.
